HARRISBURG – Rep. Jeff Wheeland (R-Lycoming), a member of the House Appropriations Committee, issued the following statement after voting for House Bill 790, the General Appropriations portion of the 2019-20 state budget, which passed the state House today by a vote of 140-62. The legislation may now be taken up by the state Senate.

HARRISBURG – Legislation sponsored by Rep. Jeff Wheeland (R-Lycoming) to apply voter ID requirements to each and every election, including photo and non-photo options as acceptable forms of ID, has formally been introduced. House Bill 1579 was discussed at the House State Government Committee informational meeting today regarding voting and election issues.
